How the teams work
Engineering at Cheerio AI
Engineering owns a platform that enterprises run real workflows on. WhatsApp, RCS, voice, email and SMS, orchestrated against the customer’s own CRM and internal systems. The stack is Next.js and Postgres on AWS Lambda and Supabase, with LangGraph for multi-agent orchestration, Anthropic Claude as the primary model, and AWS OpenSearch plus PGVector for retrieval.
The team is small enough that an engineer owns a surface end to end rather than a ticket queue. A product re-architecture is underway, so there is real architectural work available rather than only feature work. Reliability matters here in a way it does not at pre-revenue companies: when a workflow breaks, a bank notices.
Product and design at Cheerio AI
Product decides what an AI-native engagement platform should actually do, then defends that decision against the pull of one-off customer requests. Design owns the experience of the flows that carry the most weight, and currently owns a real backlog of UX debt that has accumulated while the product grew fast.
This is not a wireframe execution seat. Designers here run research, argue about the right interaction, and stay with the work through implementation. The bar is whether a customer can complete a complex workflow without being trained on it first.
Go to market at Cheerio AI
Go to market sells to enterprises with a small team, which only works if the motion runs on systems instead of effort. That means lead enrichment, routing, sequencing, CRM hygiene and attribution built as infrastructure, with HubSpot as the spine and paid, outbound and inbound feeding it.
The GTM team sits in Hyderabad. The work is closer to engineering than to traditional sales ops: if a step is repeated manually more than twice, it should be automated rather than documented.
